Porter’s Charmayne Marshall – York Street Tire Athlete of the Month

CHARMAYNE MARSHALL
Porter Lady Pirates
Competing in her third year as a starter in the lineup for the Lady Pirates, the 5’9 junior forward continues to play a key role in her team’s success. Marshall totaled 45 points in three games to help Porter to the school’s first tournament championship since 2017 by winning the Regent Prep Invitational title as Porter defeated Prue (57-26), Sequoyah Claremore (44-30) and #9-ranked Sperry (40-37). While posting a scoring average of 15.4 points per game plus gathering 7.6 rebounds, Marshall uses her long, lanky and athletic frame to bolster the defensive efforts on the basketball court.
“Charmayne can play any position on the court. Her athleticism makes it a tough assignment to defend for our opponents and she’s able to stop the inside scoring attack of the other team,” said head coach Kruz Lynch. “She’s a leader for our team who keeps the energy level high regardless the score.”
Marshall, who maintains a 4.03 GPA, is also a member of the softball, soccer and track teams at Porter High School.
