CLASS OF 2021 – JOB WELL DONE
The members of this year’s senior class have faced challenges like never before yet still have proved their perseverance to overcome all adversity and finish as champions for life. In addition to their individual resumes of extracurricular activities, seven seniors have maintained 4.0 GPA or better to earn Valedictorian honors including Jacob Brockman, Ali Holt, Alexa Armstrong, Hanna Russell, Adam Holt, Kacie Gibbins and MacKenzie Bethel. Altogether 55 seniors will receive their diplomas during graduation ceremonies on Friday, May 28th beginning at eight o’clock at St. John Stadium
GOLD-SILVER-BRONZE
Vian wrestlers stood tall on the medal stand at the OSSAA state championships.
Wolverine senior Cruz Partain completed an undefeated season (26-0) to win the 195-pound gold medal. Braylen Rodgers (113) and Dil’n Murchison (220) reached the medal stand winning the third place bronze medal.
On the girls mat, sophomore Taya Hunt claimed the silver medal at 136-pounds in a narrow single point setback in the finals while freshman Avery Richey advanced to the championship semifinals and claimed the bronze medal at 107 pounds.
SPIRIT OF THE WOLVERINES
From the sidelines under the Friday night lights to competitive cheer contests, the spirit of the Wolverines will once again be loud and proud inspired by the high school cheerleaders for 2021-22. Varsity cheerleaders for next year include 2022 Seniors Hailie Brake and Shelby Batt; Juniors Hallee Risley, Kayleigh Parker, KaLee Kolbe, Nicki Stoner, Kenzie Bockover, Lyndsey Christie, Alli Farrar and Kaylin Ford; Sophomores Brianna Rodgers, Chasity Smith and Kloey Kisselburg and Freshmen Kat Kosterlitzky, Hannah Brake, Isabella Clouse, Kyla Palmer. Vian cheerleaders will be coached by Hillary Clark and Cara Brahnam.
