Warner's Jaylee Kindred – York Street Tire Athlete of the Month

A four-year starter in the Lady Eagles lineup, Jaylee Kindred opened the 20-21 basketball season with impressive numbers by averaging 19 points and 7-plus rebounds per contest while connecting on 69 percent of her field goal attempts and 82 percent accuracy from the free throw line. A repeat VYPE Top 100 selection, the 6’3 forward has averaged in double figures since her freshman season including last year’s 17-point effort plus 9.4 rebounds as well as two-plus blocked shots per contest.
Mindi Peters, head coach of the Warner Lady Eagles says the influence of Kindred extends beyond the playing court.
“For the past four years, Jaylee has been a force for our team in the paint, offensively and defensively. She has continued to work hard, putting in extra time to develop her game and spent extra time in the weight room in order to play her best physically. Jaylee is more than a great athlete, she an awesome young lady inside and out. She’s been a leader for her teammates on and off the court. Definitely, Jaylee Kindred is someone her teammates look up to.”
Kindred will continue her playing time on the collegiate level having signed a letter of intent with to play basketball with the Riverhawks at Northeastern State University.
